sweater weather...
Hello my fabulous friends!
Part of my holiday traditions involve gift wrapping... I've loved wrapping gifts as a child, and I never outgrew that love!
Paper: Ranger Grunge Paper; kraft
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Tuxedo Black; Distress Ink Brushed Corduroy, Chipped Sapphire; LDRS Creative Coffee Bean
Coloring: Copics
Bunny- W00, W1, W3, W5, R00, E04
Blue- B91, B93, B95, B97, B99
Green-YG03, YG95, YG99
Red- R35, E07, E19, BG96
Brown- E57
Stencil: LLLC It's Snowing
Other: Ranger Distress Mica Spray Tarnished Brass; acrylic paint
I started by stamping the Sweater Weather background stamp onto my flattened pillow box. I then cut some Kraft paper and stenciled on the snowflakes using the new It's Snowing stencil and acrylic paint.
The bow is from the Jingle Bells wreath set, and was die cut from white cardstock and colored with Copics.
For the antlers, I die cut the deer from Grunge Paper, then added some color and shimmer.
I stamped the sentiment with LDRS Creative Hybrid ink... It stays wet just long enough to dust it with some Perfect Pearls!
This bunny (and all the critters in the Cozy Christmas set) is so adorable! I wanted his sweater to look like knit, so I used the sweater stamp from the Sweater Weather background set. The sweater has a smaller knit pattern than the large background stamp, making it perfectly sized for this little guy's sweater.
I started by creating a reverse mask... I stamped the bunny on mask paper, then carefully cut out the sweater, leaving the rest of the image in tact.
I then stamped the bunny on my project and covered him with the reverse mask. I stamped the sweater with Distress ink (so it won't react with the Copics later).
When you remove the mask, this is what you get! From here, you can add shading and color as normal! Cool, huh!
See you tomorrow!
