being a feature...

Hey everyone!

I'm being featured over at the Creative Inspirations blog... You know what that means, right? It means we need more people to link us projects made with the CI paints so that you don't need to see more of me. =)

Anyway, here is the project being featured.
Paper: Coredinations, watercolor paper, plain white cardstock
Stamps: Yvonne Albritton Designs, 3 Bugs in a Rug "Flower Patch"
Ink: VersaMark, Mark It, Memento
CI: Evergree, Tanzanite, Buttercup, Burnt Clay
Other: Fiskars Edger, embossing powder, foam dots

I stamped the image with VersaMark, then embossed it with black embossing powder. I then used a Fantastix to water color the image in with the CI paints. You can see more instructions on this technique here.

I cut out the stamped image, and attached it to the card with foam dots to give it some dimension.

You can only sort of see it in the picture, but I also brushed on a little paint around the edges of the card. Not only does this give it a little bit of color (like inking around the edges) but it also gives it shimmer... How beautiful!!!

I decided to make a bunch of different colors of this card to make a quick and fun set. So I have one in Plum, and one in Tickled Pink.

These cards go together really fast, and I make them in a kind of assembly line. It is a fun and easy way to get a set all done and ready to either use, or give away.

Have a fabulous day! I'll be back soon with more fun stuff to share.
